Have you ever seen or heard a ghost? i.e. Have you personally ever seen an image or heard a sound that you understood to be a ghost in real life? Please confine your answer specifically to ghosts and do not include other paranormal phenomena, since they are dealt with in another question

| I hav no had a "ghost" experience before, but 2 times in my life, once in my van when i was roughly 11 and the other last summer at a cedarville university when i was 13. I had in the past sensations in my legs that felt tingly, but those were from my foot being asleep or,something being on it, but this one was different, it was almost exactly the same, but this one was not uncomfortable and felr pleasanr almost tranaquil in a sense. I told my mom about it but she didnt know,what it,was and evwntually shruugged it of. The 2nsd was when i was listening/worshipping to a christian band, and i cudnt remember who,it,was, i think,it,was my youth pastors husband, but her husband told me after or before idk, but he sed thaf it,was the holy spirit entering our bodies ans that it cud not stay for long because of the sin in our bodies. Most of you out there, maybe not but probably think im lyin or makin this up just to convert you to christianity, but i dont force anybody to convert, its all your choice, ansd the feeling i felt that time was even better. But those were my "other worldly experiences". Hope you guys like this comment. |

| I was about 7-14 years old. Something or somebody distinctly breathed on other side of the wardrobe on the neighbour bed several times within several years. With male and female voice sounds like my relative's voice and not. Breathing per "one session" about 15-60 seconds long, with steady, loud and practically placid sound. First session occured when I was young and I have been nearly fallen asleep. I just fix in my mind that my mom comes to her bed without steps and without switching on of the light and she is sleeping (and breathing) now. Later - she really came or I heard her voice outside of the room - can't remember now. I just fixed that as a strange. I didn't attach importance to that occurrence, just the bad aftertaste feeling was stayed Years later I have heard male breathing, at that place, I jumped out of the bed, call to my granny and she confirmed that she hear breathing too in the meter in front of her. Breathing was located somewhere above the bed and when I changed location it was stayed in the same area. I was strongly scared. No any vestiges of the source of the breathing were found next morning - I supposed everything even a piece of dough (dough inflation) was lost under the bed sometime before, or it was remainder of sound from the outside. Nothing unusual neither on nor under the bed was found. We had got no any pets. It was typical city apartment several floors above the ground so mice are excluded too. I thought many times about that, trying to find a reason of breathing. No ideas except of ghosts. This type of activity have been repeated several times within my childhood with 100% confidence (and my mom says she had fixed it too), and several times without 100% confidence just a rustle or something else which could be a remainder of sound from the street. I was strongly scared at that time, but I believe it was served to me to turn my mind and my opinion about religion. |
